Minor League Strength and Conditioning Coach

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Toronto Blue Jays are seeking qualified Strength & Conditioning Coaches to fulfill openings for the role
of Minor League Strength & Conditioning Coach. Candidates for this role will report to Spring Training in Dunedin, Florida and
then to their assigned minor league affiliate location and remain there throughout the entirety of the minor league season.
Responsibilities into the off-season are TBD and will be discussed in more detail during the season.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop, individualize, and implement the Toronto Blue Jay’s S&C program for specified players at the assigned
affiliate. This also involves scheduling of daily routines including, but not limited to, individual preparation routines,
lifting, conditioning, speed/agility sessions and recovery work - Collaborating with all other TBJ departments in the physical profile assessment & analysis process leading to the
creation of individualized player plans and developmental goals, as well as tracking the progress of those goals at
specified times throughout the year - Assisting with the daily workload monitoring of players and engaging with discussions and adjustments needed within
any programs accordingly - Weight room setup, organization, cleanliness and sanitation
- Assist with other necessary projects or initiatives
REQUIREMENTS
- Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA
- Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related field
- First Aid/CPR Certified
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with teams or athletes in the field of strength and conditioning (including
graduate assistantships and internships) - Experience and certifications with Functional Movement Systems (FMS) preferred
- Bilingual with English and Spanish preferred
